In Nairobi’s fast-paced work environment, employee safety isn’t just a responsibility it’s the law. At Imana, we help you stay compliant and protect your team with Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) Insurance a must-have for every employer in Kenya.

What is WIBA Insurance?

The WIBA Policy provides compensation to employees who suffer injury, disability, or death arising out of and during the course of employment. It ensures that both the employer and employee are financially protected when workplace accidents happen whether it’s at a construction site, office, factory, or during fieldwork.

This cover applies to:

Permanent employees
Contract and casual workers
Temporary or seasonal staff
What’s Covered Under WIBA
Accidental injury or death while on duty
Medical expenses including hospitalization and treatment
Compensation for temporary or permanent disability
Funeral and last expense costs

WIBA coverage follows Kenya’s Work Injury Benefits Act 2007, making it a statutory requirement for all employers.

WIBA Plus (WIBA GPA) – Extended Protection

Employers who want 24-hour protection even outside working hours can upgrade to WIBA Plus or WIBA GPA (Group Personal Accident). This extension offers worldwide coverage, ensuring employees are protected whether they’re at work, home, or traveling.

WIBA GPA includes:

Accidental death benefit
Permanent or temporary total disability compensation
Medical reimbursement for accidents
Weekly indemnity for temporary disablement
Group Life Cover
